Illumin8

9:15am every 1st, 2nd, and 5th Sunday at 6665 Security Blvd (There is MSBC transporation for the Youth from the Whitehead Parking Lot by the bridge immediately after the 7:15am Service.)

Providing the youth more opportunities to worship within the Youth Auxillaries (choir, dance, mime, spoken word, step, etc.) which rotate leading the Praise and Worship segment.  There are breakout sessions that provide an opportunity for more focused dialogue on the topic presented, which aligns with Bishop's Wednesday Worship sessions.  The groups are typically broken into grades and gender, though some discussion topics may be separated differently.  The grade break outs are: Middle School, Freshman and Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.

L.I.T. Fridays (Live, Interactive, Transforming)

7:30pm on 1st Fridays at 6665 Security Blvd (Doors open at 7:00pm)

A unique intereactive worship experience geared towards allowing the youth to experience God in a relaxed environment.  These services comprise of spoken word, rap, dance, singing, praise and worship, live bible study, a sermonette, and contests.  Youth ministries from other churches are invited to participate.

Youth Leadership Institute (COMING SOON)

Mission: Identify youth's leadership aptitude; develop their resiliency skills, and create a positive identity around four pillars of leadership.  This is demonstrated through positive attitudinal change regarding church, peers, parents, and increased self-esteem and confidence.

  • Integrity - fairness and inclusion of others
  • Accountability - commitment to areas of responsibility
  • Vision - motivates others to action with innovative ideas
  • Competence - activity and program planning from conception to execution

  • Develop awareness of personal strengths and growth areas in valuing the mission and people

MSBC Youth Choir

Rehearsals are every 2nd and 3rd Saturdays at 10:00am at 1512 Woodlawn Drive.

We are excited that you have expressed an interested in joining our ministry.  The Youth Choir is a singing aggregation that minister to youth (Grades 6 - 12), specifically, and the congregation, at-large, through music which is age appropriate.  The choir teaches the members about the Lord through song, as well as being a foundation for choir etiquette, choral performance, and setting a standard for excellence in ministry and life.  We communicate via emails and texts with upcoming dates, music, and related news for the Youth Choir.  We work closely with our Youth Ministry to ensure that we are on one accord spiritually.  Please register for MSBC InFellowship; it is our church's way to communicate with you efficiently!

We look forward to working with you and your parents, as we ask our youth parents to be involved and help us as much as possible as we all grow towards serving God!

MSBC Youth Dance Ministry (God's Beautiful Feet)

Rehearsals are every Tuesday at 6:30pm at 6665 Security Blvd.

God's Beautiful Feet is a dance ministry for youth (Grades 6 - 12) who are encouraged to express the word and spirit of God through dance.  The ministry is designed to encourage God's people and destroy yokes of bondage through worshiping God in song and dance.  Our expression of worship is used to bring deliverance, give breakthrough, and break down strongholds in both the saved and unsaved lives.  The focus of our worship is God and He uses our bodies as a living sacrifice and an instrument to bring his people to a deeper level of understanding in him.

MSBC Youth Ushers

The Youth Ushers serve at 9:15am on 1st, 2nd, and 5th Sundays at 6665 Security Blvd for Illumin8 and at 7:15am, 9:15am, and 11:30am on 4th Sundays at 1512 Woodlawn Drive for Unleash

The Youth Ushers of MSBC are excited and enthusiastic gatekeepers of the sanctuary of Christ.  We proudly handle many logistical aspects of the worship experience, such as seating and offering.  The Ministry efficiently works to keep service running smoothly so that congregants can come into worship with limited distractions.  We strive to teach young people leadership skills such organization, effective communication, relationship building, and problem solving.

Important Note: All volunteers who work with our children and youth must complete the MSBC Abuse Prevention and Risk Management Plan training. The training program provides critical information and training for persons who volunteer in our children and youth programs. In addition to completing the training, volunteers must also agree to a criminal background check. Ministering to, and at the same time, protecting OUR children is of paramount importance to the Ministry. For more information regarding this training program, contact the Church's Director of Human Resources.
