New After Hours Emergency Line Available

The Ministry has instituted an after-hours emergency line.  In the event of an emergency, you can now call (443) 610-2795 for immediate assistance.  Emergency situations include, but are not limited to: 

  • - The Loss of A Loved One 
  • - Family Emergencies 
  • - Illness or Hospital Visitations

During regular business hours, the Main Church office can provide information and direction regarding these issues.  The office, which is staffed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. , can assist with other needs including: 

  • - Financial Assistance 
  • - Christian Counseling 
  • - A Need To Meet with the Pastor 
  • - Prayer 
  • - Weddings 
  • - Baby Blessings 
  • - Daycare Services 
  • - How to Join a Ministry 
  • - Emergency Cancellation Information

Morning Star is joining in as Baltimore honors some of its’ Legends  ... The Female Clergy Support Group of Maryland (our own Lady Carla Debnam is a member) will honor a number of women who pioneered a presence, power and protocol for women in ministry in Maryland at a Gala on May 31st. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2013

Morning Star Baptist Church Proudly presents A Tiny Bit-O-Talent - Vacation Bible School 2013 - July 29th to August 2nd at our Security Boulevard Location (6665 Security Blvd).  Classes & Crafts for ages 5 to 10.  Child Care for ages 1 to 4.  This activity is open to the Church and Community.    Volunteers are needed NOW for various tasks including, advertising, teachers, child care, crafts, floor monitors, Friday celebration coordination and registration.  Direct your questions to Wayne Osborne (Ministry Leader) at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Rites of Passage and Daughters of Imani Programs … Changing Lives

 

We are BUILDING AND REBUILDING the lives of our young people.  We are excited to announce the 2012/2013 sessions for our nationally recognized Rite of Passage Young Men (ROP) and Daughters of Imani (DOI) Mentoring Programs.  For the program, committed men and women from the Church meet with our young people for a bi-weekly teaching and growth opportunity.  In place for several years, the programs have graduated hundreds of young persons.  The sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at our Security Boulevard location.

Volunteer Drivers Needed

The ideal candidate possesses a Master of Arts, Master of Science or Master of Social Work in Counseling, Psychology, Pastoral Counseling or Social Work. Additionally, the successful candidate must be licensed in the state of Maryland as a counselor, social worker or psychologist and have a combination of at least 5 years of management experience and mental health therapy.
