We believe children are a gift from God …
The Bible urges us to train up a child "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Morning Star takes this charge seriously – and operates a Children’s Ministry that ministers to the spiritual, intellectual and physical needs of elementary school children. Events and programs are offered to all children and are conducted in a safe, Christian environment where staff and volunteers make meeting the needs of our young people the priority.
The Children’s Ministry offers numerous activities and ministry opportunities for children, including trips to area attractions. There are also recurring events such as Resurrection Activities (April), Children’s Day (June) and Harvest Fest (Halloween). Children can also sing on the Choir, dance with the Dance Ministry or minister with our Mime Ministry. Complete a Ministry Interest Form for additional information.
The Ministry offers a 1st Sunday Children’s REAL Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.
A Church School Program is offered for children and adults on the 2nd through 5th Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
A Children’s Bible Study meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Creative Learning and Fellowship
On the 3rd Saturday of each month, the Ministry hosts a Saturday Morning Academy at 10:00 a.m. This program offers creative learning and social development for young people.
Important Note: All volunteers who work with our children and youth must complete the MSBC Abuse Prevention and Risk Management Plan training. The training program provides critical information and training for persons who volunteer in our children and youth programs. In addition to completing the training, volunteers must also agree to a criminal background check. Ministering to, and at the same time, protecting OUR children is of paramount importance to the Ministry. For more information regarding this training program, contact the Church’s Director of Human Resources by Clicking Here.
