Morning Star is committed to teaching and applying the word of God. Bishop Debnam leads two bible studies on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The Bible urges us to “hide the word of God in our hearts.” The hour-long sessions provide an interactive opportunity for growth and development. As an added convenience for persons who are on their lunch hour or, have other daytime responsibilities, a bag lunch is provided following the 11:30 a.m. session.
Church School
Our Church School offers instruction for children and adults to grow them spirituallyby equipping them for ministry in the family, church, community with intentions to bringpersons to Christ through outreach. Church School sessions meet on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th (where applicable) Sundays at 9:30 a.m. The ministry also hosts special seasonal events. Obtain more detailed information by completing a Ministry Interest Form.
MSBC University
MSBC University (MSBCU) is the institution that administers our Discipleship, Stewardship and Christian Education Classes. We operate on a two semester schedule, enrolling new students in the Fall and Spring. Not only do we offer classes to develop you spiritually; there are classes that can help grow you professionally, socially, and even classes to help you learn a new skill or trade! Classes are open to everyone, even persons who are not members of the church! For a complete listing of current course offerings, CLICK HERE.
Spiritual Formation
Our Spiritual Formation program invites persons to take an inward journey – strengthening their understanding and application of the spiritual disciplines. We cannot afford to settle for lives that are inconsistent in the habits of the faith; however, it has to be our aim to apply and live God’s word. God wants persons who are committed to prayer, study, sacrifice, meditation and service. Classes meet on Thursdays (day and evening). For more information complete a Ministry Interest Form.
Stewardship
Our School of Stewardship is a dynamic program committed to the growth of persons in the area of Stewardship. Our class offerings include: Your Money Matters, the Financially Confident Woman, Time Management/Managing Your Emotions, and I Was Broke… Not I’m Not. In addition to these awesome class offerings, we also offer free, confidential budget counseling from trained counselors. Our Stewardship programs are open to the public.
